Moving day!! Gone is the Sangubashi apartment, hello 30000円! Met the roommate; nice British guy teaching English. The other roommate, girl from Hong Kong, was moving out today so it's down to 2 until next week(?)
Balcony, check. Window seat, check. Park view, check. Neighborhood kitty, check. Pics:
Check.
I'm looking at the last picture which appears to be a shower stall (the drain at the bottom gave it away). Now on the wall is a square box that appears to be connected to the plumbing. And it seems like that there is a wire coming out of it going into the wall under a pipe.
ReplyDeleteTell me that's not an electric water heater.
Say it ani't so!
Haha you are perceptive!! I'm afraid it's true - they love playing with fire (electricity?) here. There's one in the kitchen too for the sink. Oh - and many of the toilets are electronic - i.e., have "wet" parts. I don't get it either!
ReplyDeleteThis place looks a lot roomier than your previous place. Is that a washer in the second to last pic?
ReplyDeleteFREE washer! :D
ReplyDeleteNo dryer, though. Those are rare in Japan...most people just hang their stuff out to dry. So I've started doing that...it's a lot more complicated than I expected! I'm thinking, what, how hard could it be? Hang the clothes outside and come back later and they'll be dry, right? ...
Unless they blow away or get oggled by perverts. You have to tie every hanger down or to each other and then clip anything heavy (blankets, rugs, futon mattress [yes, you read that right]) with these MASSIVE 1' plastic spring loaded clips. Then you have to make sure it doesn't rain! An anti-rain dance, if you will. (I did mine this morning.) Suddenly I appreciate electric dryers a whole lot more!!
